How'd we get here? Who the heck are we? Why donkeys?
What We Do
We're a 501(c) (3) non-profit charity located in northwest Indiana. We specialize in rescuing donkeys and horses. We work with rescue groups around the nation and the Bureau of Land Management to save wild donkeys from being exported to countries that are slaughtering them. We also accept animals that are surrendered by previous owners or those we find in kill-pen auctions.
Who We Are
I'm Dave, a 40-year veteran of marketing, advertising, and writing. I grew up on a hobby farm in Granger, Indiana where my parents regularly rescued horses and ponies from local auction houses.
My business partner and niece is Katy who has over 20 years experience in vet tech and zookeeping. She's worked with large mammals such as donkeys, farm animals, and black bears.
